Integrating ShipStation
ShipStation is a cloud-based ERP software that integrates with Syncware. The following workflows are supported for this integration:
- Orders
- Invoices
- Shipments
To integrate ShipStation with your Syncware account, you'll need to
*To connect your ShipStation account, your API and API Secret Key are required. To obtain these required items, you must access your ShipStation account.
Add ShipStation Desktop
- From the navigation menu, select Integrations.
- On the Integrations page, click ADD INTEGRATION.
- On the Integrations List page, search ShipStation, and click ADD.
- You will be presented with the applicable fees for the integration. To proceed, click REVIEW.
- You will be presented with a summary of the fees that will be billed to you. If you approve, click APPROVE.
Result
ShipStation will be added to your Syncware account as an integration.
Connect your ShipStation account
- From the navigation menu, select Integrations.
- On the Configure Integration page, click on the following fields to enter the required information: API Key and Password (API Secret)
- Click SAVE.
Result
Your ShipStation integration will be connected to Syncware.
Map your workflows
Before you begin, ensure you've reviewed the instructional video for building your workflow with Sync Builder.
- From the navigation menu, select Integrations > Sync Builder.
- On the Sync Builder page, ShipStation will be displayed in the Integrations and Actions menu to the left. Use the arrow to display the ShipStation available actions.
While you can customize your workflow in many ways, the following ShipStation actions are available for use:

- From the menu, click and drag the actions that you would like to add to the workspace on the right.
- Once you have added the actions for your workflow, click SAVE.
Result
Your ShipStation actions are ready to be configured and verified.
Configure your settings
- From the navigation menu select Integrations.
- Click the Configure button to the right of your ShipStation integration.
- On the Configure Integration page, click on the following fields to enter the required information you would like configured and input the required information.
While you can configure and customize your integration in many ways, our customers use the following fields most often:
Field Name | Field Guide Suggestion |
---|---|
Use Ship Date | When TRUE is entered into the field, the ship date will be sent on the order to ShipStation. |
Store Id | Enter your store ID into the field if you have more than one location attached to your ShipStation. By using this field, you can specify where orders should be imported from or exported to. |
Store Id Filter | Enter your store ID into the field if you have more than one location attached to your ShipStation. By using this field, you can specify where orders should be imported from or exported to. |
PO as Order Number | When TRUE is entered into the field, the Order Number will be set in ShipStation based on the PO number of the order in Syncware. |
- Click SAVE in the top right corner of the page once complete.
Result
Your ShipStation settings have been configured.
