How to Connect Shopware (V5) to Syncware

To enable access to the REST API, the shop owner must authorize one (or more) users in the Shopware backend.

  1. Open the Shopware backend (<store_url>/backend/) and open the Configuration > User Administration window. Select an existing user, or create a new user first. Then select Edit icon for the desired user and select the enabled checkbox in the API Access section.


  2. Note the API key. Click Save , and the changes will take effect. If the edited user is currently logged in, you might need to clear the backend cache, and then log out and log in for your changes to take effect.
  3. Log in to Syncware, Navigate to Setting > Endpoints


  4. Click the Gear Icon next to the Shopware Actions


  5. Enter the API Key and User Name in the fields below
