Integrating DSCO with Syncware

Rithum | DSCO is a drop-ship and marketplace platform that connects suppliers with retailers. In the context of Syncware, a DSCO integration enables automated communication between your business and every retailer you trade with on the DSCO network. By automating the exchange of documents like purchase orders, shipping notices, and inventory updates, a Dsco integration helps streamline operations, improve accuracy, and enhance scalability.

To integrate with DSCO using Syncware, you'll need to

  1. Add an integration to your account.
  2. Create your DSCO API credentials.
  3. Configure the DSCO integration in Syncware.

Before you begin, ensure you've created your Syncware account and have added users that will be working to integrate via DSCO. You will also need an active Rithum | DSCO account, and permission within that account to create API credentials from Automation → API.

Add an integration

  1. From the navigation menu, select Integrations.

On the Integrations page, click ADD INTEGRATION.

On the Integrations List page, use the search or filter features to find DSCO, and click ADD.

    1. Note: If you do not yet have a Rithum | DSCO account, contact your retailer's drop-ship or vendor management team. They will sponsor your account and send you an invitation to onboard onto the DSCO network.
    2. If the retailer you're trying to connect with is not currently listed then email the Syncware support team at help@syncware.com with the name of the retailer.
  2. You will be presented with the applicable fees for the integration. To proceed, click REVIEW.
  3. You will be presented with a summary of the fees that will be billed to you. If you approve, click APPROVE.

Note that all DSCO integrations include a $500 non-refundable implementation fee. If you're requesting custom mapping or a non-standard workflow, the implementation fee will be charged once the mapping has been completed.

Once you've added the integration to your account, email help@syncware.com so they can start work setting up the integration.

A message will appear confirming that the integration was added.

Create your DSCO API credentials

Syncware connects to DSCO using Client Credentials (OAuth2). Static Auth Bearer Tokens are no longer issued and are not supported for new integrations.

Note: Instructions for completing this step are also available on the Rithum Help Portal.

  1. Log in to the Rithum | DSCO platform and navigate to Automation → API.
  2. On the API page, click Create Credentials.
  3. In the Create Credentials pop-up, complete the following fields:
  4. From the API Credential Type drop-down menu, select Client Credentials (OAuth2).
  5. In the Name field, enter a name for the credential. This field is optional, but a descriptive name such as Syncware OAuth makes the credential easier to identify later.
  6. In the Description field, enter a description for the credential. This field is optional.
  7. Click Create & View Credentials.
  8. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret that are displayed and store them securely. Then click Close.

Note: The Client Secret is sensitive information and is displayed only once. Do not share it through unsecured channels such as email or chat. If you lose the Client Secret, create a new credential set and repeat this procedure.

You now have a Client ID and Client Secret to enter into Syncware.

Configure the DSCO integration in Syncware

  1. In the Syncware application, open your DSCO Integration configuration or click here.
  2. Enable Use OAuth Authentication. This setting must be enabled before you enter your credentials.
  3. Complete the following fields:
  4. In the Client ID field, enter the Client ID you generated in the Rithum | DSCO platform.
  5. In the Client Secret field, enter the Client Secret you generated in the Rithum | DSCO platform.
  6. Save the DSCO Integration configuration.
  7. Run a connectivity test or allow a scheduled sync to complete, and confirm the DSCO Integration is transmitting successfully. Refer to Manually Running an Action for steps.

Results

Your DSCO integration is connected and ready for onboarding and testing. Order, inventory, and shipment data will begin flowing on your configured schedule.

Finish the onboarding process

Our integrations team should reply within 24-48 hours. Onboarding for this integration, including mapping setup, trading partner configuration, and workflow design, will be handled directly by the integrations team.

You will work through the following with your retailer and the Syncware team:

  • Confirming which DSCO trading partners (retailers) are enabled on your account.
  • Mapping your SKUs and catalog attributes to each retailer's required fields.
  • Testing purchase order retrieval, acknowledgements, inventory updates and shipment confirmations in a test window before going live.

If you have questions during the process, please contact help@syncware.com directly and your message will be routed to the integrations team.
