Instructions for Setting up a Syncware Private App in Shopify
- From your Shopify Admin panel, go to Apps.
- Click Manage private apps, near the bottom of the page.
- Click Create a new private app, or edit the one assigned to Syncware/Bizperanto
- In the App details section, enter "Bizperanto" as name and a contact email address. Shopify uses the email address to contact the developer if there is an issue with the private app, such as when an API change might break it.
- In the Admin API section, select the areas of your store that you want the app to be able to access.
- Set the following permissions, as required by the integration:
- Orders, transactions and fulfillment – read and write if orders are synced
- Order editing - read and write (to update comments and tags on existing orders)
- Locations - Read
- Product information - Read
- Products, variants and collections – Read
- Inventory – Read and Write if inventory is to be updated
- Fulfillment services - Read and Write if orders are synced
- Customer details and customer groups – Read and Write (needed only for creating draft orders)
- Draft Orders - Read and Write (if draft orders are created)
- Once that is done, click SAVE, and then email the following to SYNCWARE:
- Api Key
- Api Password (click “Show” to make it appear)
- Store name. You can email the entire “sample/example” url. The store name is xxxxxx.myshopify.com, where “xxxxxx” is the name that appears before .myshopify.
